WE'VE BEEN AROUND SINCE 1973
Our mission is to provide our members with the opportunity to achieve their health and fitness goals in a state-of-the-art facility that promotes a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere.
ESTABLISHED IN 1973
Springside Athletic Club is is Akron’s most complete multi-athletic, fitness and recreational facility. Our mission is to provide our members with the opportunity to achieve their health and fitness goals in a state-of-the-art facility that promotes a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere.
ALL AGES WELCOME
Springside welcomes senior members with programs that provide a wide range of activities. No matter what your age or fitness level, you’re sure to find fun, fitness, and friends at Springside.
Morning classes are especially popular with our members, and many others take part in personal training programs specifically designed for their particular needs. Other Springside programs include adult fitness, yoga, and more!
A brisk walk on our cushioned indoor walking track is great for the heart and easy on the joints. No matter what your fitness level, you can perform chin-ups, pull-ups, and dips on our assisted pull-up machine, a strength training machine designed to provide gravitational assistance while you strengthen and tone your back, shoulders, and arms.
WE PRIDE OURSELVES ON FAMILY
As a family-oriented facility, we’re particularly proud of the programs and facilities at Springside that are geared toward children.
Boys and girls as young as three years old take part in tennis instruction programs specially designed to introduce them to the world of fitness and fun. These programs stress the development of both psycho-motor and psycho-social skills. We are also proud to offer programs such as junior tennis, kids sports camps, and junior workouts led by our professional staff.
Our clean and cheerful kids playroom provides a fun atmosphere for our members’ children, from infants though 11 years old, to play games, read or enjoy craft activities while Mom or Dad are using Springside’s facilities. Children are cared for and supervised by trained professionals certified in CPR.
Members can also inquire about our private after-hours facility rental program — great for birthday parties, bar and bat mitzvahs, graduations, or any other occasion.
